Joy is a certified personal trainer in Toronto, ON with a specialization in prenatal and postnatal fitness.
Joy has always led an active and healthy lifestyle, for years getting a bounty of exercise in the gym and in the great outdoors. Leading by example, she has diligently maintained a beautiful and healthy figure. The keys to her success have always been a healthy diet, plenty of well-planned exercise, and finding the joy in being active.
Working out isn't necessarily work, but should be an enjoyable activity with plenty of healthy benefits. This is the motivation she brings to her clients to ensure they can reach their goals as well.
A mother of two adorable little boys, Joy knows first-hand what it is like to balance the needs of continued exercise for the sake of her own health and that of her children, with the care required for protecting a life growing inside her. As well, she knows the dedication required to restore that figure back to its healthy form after a child is born. These are experiences that Joy uses to help other new and soon-to-be mothers realistically and safely maintain and build their health.
Joy currently holds Canfitpro's PTS certification as a Personal Training Specialist, as well the PFS certification as a Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness Specialist, and the NWL certification as a weight-loss specialist. Joy is also certified by Fitness Kickboxing Canada as a Level III fitness kickboxing instructor. Further, she holds YogaFit's certifications as an instructor for yoga, kids' yoga, and pre- and post-natal yoga.

When I first contacted Joy, I was sceptical and unsure if she would be the right fit to whip my daughter into shape. That didn’t last long. Joy came to our home, introduced herself to us and explained the “plan” on getting our daughter from the couch to being physically fit. Joy worked with our daughter three days a week for about two months and now comes once a week. Joy has taught our daughter how to exercise properly, the importance of food, nutrition, and water. Mary has transformed into a person who enjoys exercise, enjoys good food, and now drinks more water. Joy has given me "joy" in exercise and training in not only my life, but also through the fun wiggles programs for my girls.
